THREE SMALL RADIOS COMPARISONS

The three small radios I used, were SONY SRF-59, SANGEAN DT-250, SONY ICF-S10MK2, and I tested them only in terms of sensitivity. Scanning MW band in Marathon area, at the sea side, around 12 o’ clock noon, four Arabic broadcasts were found.

  774 KHz
Abis
Egypt
  819 KHz
Batrah
Egypt
  864 KHz
Santah
Egypt
1125 KHz
El Beida
Libya

Signal strength was weak for the Egyptians and fair for the Libyan, which, by the way, is under control by the Western-backed rebels.
SRF-59 and DT-250 achieved about the same sensitivity, with the Sangean showing a slight superiority.

ICF-S10MK2 a nice radio otherwise, with very good speaker sound, received 1125 KHz, but in the case of the other fequencies detected only the carrier.
